Denmark are preparing to face a Wales fresh from thrashing the Republic of Ireland.
Schmeichel said: "Take the last game, you can see the flair and spark that they play with.
"It's very similar to the DNA he inherited at Manchester United and it will be very interesting to see what he can bring. He's got a very talented squad with Wales.
"It is something that Gary Speed started, Chris Coleman worked really well, and now Ryan is putting his own stamp on it. Judging on the last game, he's had a really good start.
It will be very interesting to see where he can bring them. He (Bale) is a world class player. Wales are full of good players. You always want to play against the best and he is definitely one of them.
"Their front line is very, very good, very dynamic, they have a lot of players who like to score goals from distance. We all know Gareth Bale. We will have to be on top of our game to beat them."
