Leicester goalkeeper Schmeichel: No surprise Manchester clubs want Maguire

Kasper Schmeichel says he isn't shocked by interest in his Leicester teammate Harry Maguire.

The England international has been the subject of interest from Manchester United and Manchester City this summer.

United are now frontrunners to sign the 26-year-old, and the news comes as no surprise to Schmeichel.

"Football is constantly evolving. We're going to see a huge shift with playing out from the back with goal kicks," he told Sky Sports.

"How you can play out will stretch teams, or it could allow you to sit off teams. You can play in a different way.

"Having someone like Harry, you can give it to him at knee height or throat height and he'll just control it.

"He's so calm on the ball. For a man of his size, he shouldn't be able to move as he does, but he's supremely confident.

"There's no shock to anyone that every club is interested in a player of his calibre."
