Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has hit out at Super League breakaway plans.
It was announced on Sunday evening that 12 clubs are aiming to form their own competition.
Schmeichel said, "A club like Leicester that has been able to do what we've been doing for over ten years where I've been here - it's unique.
"I would hate to see a system where the small clubs and 'underdogs' may not reach the limelight."
The Foxes are again in line for Champions League qualification this season and are also into the FA Cup final.
