Leicester fullback Pereira enjoying Rodgers' system

Leicester City fullback Ricardo Pereira enjoyed their hit out against Rotherham yesterday.

The Foxes drew 2-2 with Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.

Brendan Rodgers' keenness to see his side play high tempo football , moving the ball through the thirds quickly ensures Pereira is often one of the players furthest forward, and it's a role he relishes.

“Yes, I think the system is good for me, because the way we play, the full-backs have the freedom to (go forward) and have the chance to help," said the ex-Porto man to the Leicester Mercury.

“I feel good and I'm always ready to help the team."

He added: “The first goal and the second goal were (good) teamwork, we're all important and that's what we want from the team, to be better.

“We need all the players, it's not only the starting eleven. It's a long season and we'll need everybody. It's important to have the quality in our squad to be even better."
