Leicester fullback Justin confident gradual return worked in his favour

Leicester City fullback James Justin hopes his decision not to rush back from injury helps him reach top form as soon as possible.

The 23-year-old made his first start in 11 months in the 1-1 draw with Brighton on Sunday, playing the entire 90 minutes.

And Justin believes he is benefitting from being patient during his rehabilitation.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "That was the main thing throughout it all. At the start of it, I knew that I wasn't going to rush anything.

"Even if there was a slight chance of me getting back but not 100 per cent, I wasn't going to take that risk.

"The physio team and the sports scientists have been working with me for the last 11 months, so to get back to where I was, keep pushing on, and improve on little bits that I've been able to, I've been able to come back at this level. Hopefully I can keep improving.

"I'd like to get back into form, and play as many games as possible, and help the team in whatever way I can."
