Leicester City fullback Dan Amartey has confirmed he underwent successful surgery after Saturday's 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
Amartey was stretchered off in the second half with an apparent ankle injury.
"Came out of a successful surgery, but devastating news about the demise of our chairman," Amartey said.
The full-back added his condolences for Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was one of five people who died in a helicopter crash out the front of King Power Stadium on Saturday.
"A generous man, to whom [Leicester City] owes everything. I'm sure, you're in a much better place. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the families of the victims affected by this tragedy."
