Leicester City are looking at a potential winter move for Mainz striker Shinji Okazaki.
The bottom-placed Foxes currently have just Leonardo Ulloa as an out-and-out goalscorer and are on the verge of sealing a deal for Croatian young gun Andrej Kramaric.
But reports suggest that Nigel Pearson is also keen on Japan international Okazaki who is currently away on national team duty at the Asian Cup in Australia.
Sky Sports are even of the belief that Leicester have held talks with Mainz regarding the former Shimizu S-Pulse ace.
However, the reported £8million transfer fee Mainz is asking for may be a little too much for Okazaki who has scored 25 goals in 54 appearances since arriving from Stuttgart in 2013.
