Leicester downed by third-tier Wycombe

Leicester City were dealt a blow in their pre-season preparations for the new Premier League campaign.

The Foxes were defeated 1-0 by Wycombe in a pre-season friendly.

Daryl Horgan netted the winner in the 80th minute for Wycombe, with the Foxes unable to score a goal for all their possession.

The result means the Foxes have still not scored a single goal in pre-season so far.

Leicester will be hoping their fortunes improve as more first team players return to full training in the coming days and weeks.

But losing to a League One side was unlikely to be on the agenda for manager Brendan Rodgers.
