Leicester defender Timothy Castagne: We'll never use injuries as excuse

Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne insists the club will never use their injury list as an excuse for poor results.

The Foxes fought back to claim a 2-1 win over Brighton last weekend, despite being without a number of first-team regulars.

“There are injuries everywhere, so you just have to deal with what you've got," Castagne told LCFC TV.

“There's no excuses. We played with our heart and that's what worked.

“We showed character. I thought we could do better against Burnley, and the same here in the first half, but the most important thing is the win and even if we have less players available because of injuries, it doesn't matter."

On the win over Brighton, Castagne added: “It's a very important win for us.

“We didn't start well, it was a very bad first half, but we showed character to come back and win this because it's [Brighton's] a very good side.

“Coming here is never easy, so we're happy with the points, but we know we can do better."
