Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is excited to start 2019 against Everton in the Premier League.

Both clubs are locked in the battle to finish 7th, with four points splitting 7th to 13th in the table.

There is only a point between them going into this game.

And Maguire cannot wait to face off against Marco Silva's side at Goodison Park.

"That is the best thing about the Christmas period. Once you get a defeat you only have to wait two or three days before you are playing again," said the England defender to Sky Sports.

"It's nice to have another game in three days and it's a big game for us now at Everton. We will look forward to that one, try to rest and recover and hopefully get the three points up there."
