Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has revisited leaving Saint Etienne last summer.
Fofana admits Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers was a key influence in his choice.
He told Canal+: "I had discussed with him before coming, when we were negotiating between Leicester and ASSE. Directly, I had joined the project, I wanted to come. He had spoken to me in a valuable way, he had clearly told me things, that I was a young player, that he wanted me and that he wanted to make me grow, that he was not going to give me gifts and that it was up to me to take my place.
"Here he is behind me all the time. We are going to say that he is a papa hen."
