Jonny Evans says Leicester City teammate Harry Maguire would succeed at his former club Manchester United.

Evans made his Foxes bow alongside Maguire in their 2-0 victory over Premier League new boys Wolves.

"He's got the lot," said Evans. "Physically he's got it and he's good with the ball. His technique is fantastic and I think he proved that throughout the World Cup.

"If he went to any top club he would fit in no problem. There's no reason why he couldn't play for United. He's got the ability to."

In the recently released documentary on Manchester City's title victory, Pep Guardiola highlighted Maguire as a weak link who lacked pace. But Evans begs to differ.

"He has great ability and he's very composed,' he said. 'He's obviously an outstanding player."
