Leicester defender Evans frustrated by injuries

Leicester City defender Jonny Evans has admitted that he is disappointed that injuries have disrupted his start at the club.

Evans was signed from West Brom after their relegation in the summer.

But he has been unable to get much rhythm, given his absence through injury.

Now he wants to make up for lost time.

"At the end of last season I didn't play a lot of football and I did a pre-season and felt I was getting up to speed and the injury really knocked me back," he said to Leicestershire Live.

"It set me back by two or three weeks.

"I just need games really. I'd like to say I have as much self-belief as James Maddison but you have to believe in your own ability and what you can do on the pitch.

"I felt good today, especially in the second half, getting into the rhythm of the game and the timing and growing in confidence as each game goes on."
