Leicester City are confident Jamie Vardy's injury won't be long-term.
The Mirror says the Foxes believe Vardy won't be sidelined for long and hope he could return for their crunch League Cup semi-final second leg next week.
The Foxes' 17-goal Premier League top scorer hobbled off in the first half against West Ham after pulling a glute muscle clearing the ball.
Vardy, 33, will be missing from Leicester's FA Cup tie at Brentford on Saturday after leaving the pitch clutching the back of his left leg.
But he had a scan on Thursday and the striker still hopes to play in Leicester's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Aston Villa on Tuesday.
The first leg earlier this month finished 1-1 as Leicester failed to get an advantage.
