Leicester City are confident Ben Chilwell won't demand a transfer amid Chelsea's interest.
The Leicester Mercury says it's not a given that he will be sold. City are in a strong position, with four years remaining on the 23-year-old's contract at the King Power Stadium.
They have shown in recent years that unless a satisfactory bid is made, the player stays. What is then being risked is how the player reacts. Denying Riyad Mahrez a move to Manchester City in January 2018 saw the Algerian go missing for 10 days, but he did return and scored a few crucial goals before finally upping sticks.
There are no suggestions Chilwell wouldn't remain totally professional. Even if he does want a move, he can still be happy at City.
Those feelings are not mutually exclusive.
