Leicester City and Chelsea are eyeing FC Metz striker Habib Diallo.

The Daily Express says Leicester have had their eye on the forward since November and were close to lining-up a January move for the 24-year-old, who has been in impressive form for in Ligue 1 this season.

Chelsea are also understood to be interested in the forward who is tied down with Metz until 2022 and, as a result, he is expected to command a transfer fee of around €20million.

Brendan Rodgers is understood to be looking for a long-term replacement for striker Jamie Vardy before the 2020-21 campaign eventually gets underway - with Diallo and Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard two names who have been regularly linked.
