Leicester boss Rodgers urging Maddison to stay

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is urging James Maddison to stay.

Maddison has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but could now stay put after talks over a new deal.

And Rodgers has back him to become a super star by staying put.

Rodgers said: “James is a very important player for us.

“I see his development here. We'll move to a new training facility and he's got every condition to improve his game. He is that type of player that wants to get better. In my time, I've seen him develop and grow both in his personality and game.

“He has a really good relationship with the club, with the players, with the supporters. I'm hopeful that at some point in the future we can tie him down for that bit longer."
