Leicester boss Rodgers snaps at claims of Fofana farewell gestures

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers denies Wesley Fofana was saying farewell to fans after defeat at Arsenal.

The French defender, linked with a big-money move to Chelsea this summer, went over to see the City supporters by himself following the 4-2 defeat to Arsenal. Onlookers suggested that he may have been saying goodbye to the fans who have supported him for the past two seasons.

It was put to Rodgers in his post-match press conference that Fofana was saying goodbye to the City fans, and he replied: “You write he's saying farewell. That's your story. I think he was giving the fans a clap.

"I didn't see it as a farewell. But you need to write what you need to write."
