Leicester boss Rodgers praises Congerton for replacing Chelsea fullback Chilwell

Brendan Rodgers has praised Leicester City's recruitment staff for replacing Ben Chilwell this past summer.

Left-back Chilwell was sold to Chelsea in the summer and will face his former side at the King Power on Tuesday.

The Foxes will move top of the table with a win, and Rodgers is pleased with how Timothy Castagne and James Justin have played at left-back this season.

"That's testament to the club and the players as to how we have coped in the last two summers," Rodgers said.

"We lost Harry and then Ben. Lee Congerton and the staff, the players they have brought in, Castagne has come in, Justin has stepped up.

"There's always that possibility to lose players, but it's about that pipeline of players, someone who can come in. We will always have good individual players but it's about the collective. Ben was terrific in my time here. A great boy. He's done very well there. For us, you have to be ready for the next player to come in."
