Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has offered a lifeline to Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
The Sun says Rodgers almost won the Premier League title with Sturridge in his team at Liverpool - and he is interested in landing him on a free transfer.
Sturridge, 29, is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season and is set to leave the club after seven seasons.
Rodgers still rates the England striker highly and will look at him as an option to bolster his attack, which is led by Jamie Vardy but only has Kelechi Iheanacho and Shinji Okazaki in support.
Sturridge is well down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp and is also expecting interest from MLS teams in America.
