Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is happy to be doing their preseason in the UK.
While Leicester will host Atalanta at King Power Stadium on Friday 2 August (7:30pm BST kick-off), they have otherwise faced teams exclusively from the Sky Bet Football League.
“When you've been involved in commercial tours, it's very difficult to get the training in with the heat and all the other activities that go on," the Foxes manager said.
“Thankfully, the owners have been brilliant. They've given us the opportunity to just concentrate on football.
“We had a great training week in Évian and it's an obligation I think when you are a big club, to come around and try to support the other teams that play in the lower level.
“They're really good exercises for your football. The one thing that I'm seeing is how competitive the squad. If we're going to improve, we're going to need that because it pushes everyone."
