Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed James Maddison suffered an injury in Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg against Aston Villa.

Maddison managed to get through the full 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw.

Foxes boss Rodgers said: "He did. I haven't seen anyone straight after the game yet, so I'll find out when I go back."

Leicester face Southampton in the Premier League at King Power Stadium on Saturday.
