Leicester boss Rodgers confirms Maddison visiting specialists over hip injury

Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison is set to visit a specialist regarding a hip problem.

The creative playmaker is one of the key members of Brendan Rodgers' first team at the Foxes.

However, he is set to miss their Europa League game with Slavia Prague on Thursday.

"He won't be available. He is in consultation with our doctor and some specialists, we are just trying to see where we're at," boss Rodgers told reporters.

"We don't believe he needs more surgery.

"It's irritable where he's had the issue before.

"He's been to London yesterday with our club doctor and he is there today getting another opinion.

"We're confident he doesn't need anything surgical. We just have to get a specialist's opinion on it to formulate a plan for his recovery.

"We'll look to be pretty flexible, we have other players with other attributes. We've had injuries all season and the beauty of this team and squad is they are quite flexible and they are very adaptable."
