Leicester boss Rodgers confirms Maddison fit to face Man City

Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is fit to face leaders Manchester City on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined with a hip injury suffered against Aston Villa on February 24 and missed England's three World Cup qualifiers in March.

But the attacking midfielder returned to full training during the international window and manager Brendan Rodgers says he 'looks great' ahead of the visit of Pep Guardiola's side.

"It's great news for us," Rodgers said. "Clearly he's not 100 per cent match fit but in terms of his football fitness he looks great.

"In the last few weeks he's been working with the players we've had available and he's stepped that up.

"He's not reporting any pain and he looks great. Hopefully he can stay fit until the end of the season."
