Leicester boss Rodgers appreciates Maddison: He's maturing

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers admits he appreciates working with James Maddison.

The midfielder has returned to Leicester after a superb fortnight away with England.

Rodgers said: "I think he has matured, both on and off the field - especially in recent years.

"He has a fantastic eye for the game. He creates goals and scores goals, and what he has improved in recent years is the intensity of his play when he does not have the ball.

"Off the field, he is very educated, he talks well about the sport. He's honest about the team's efforts, about his own efforts.

"That maturity has really come to the fore in recent seasons and has now become particularly clear. It's nice to see, because it's something you need in all teams."
