Leicester boss Ranieri plays down pursuit of Inter Milan defender Nagatomo

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has stated that he is not looking to sign Yuto Nagatomo.

The Foxes have made a fine start to their Premier League campaign but it was still believed that Ranieri had been looking to strengthen his squad with a couple of new signings before the end of the transfer window.

Inter Milan full-back Nagatomo was the latest player linked with a move to Leicester but Ranieri has now gone on to play down the speculation surrounding the Japanese international.

Ranieri said: "I don't know, this is speculation. I know Yuto very well because I coached him, but there isn't anything. No. I am very happy with the squad. We are looking around all the world. If there is some good chance is there then we are ready.

"We are looking around every position because it is important to know. Maybe it is not possible now but maybe in the next window or even next season, but we are looking. There are a lot of men who are looking around the world."
