Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has dubbed their Premier League triumph as a "fairytale".

Ranieri was speaking with the Daily Mail.

"Last year was a fairytale. A true fairytale. It was an amazing season.

"If you remember the beginning, they said, 'Oh yes but now Leicester will slow down. They cannot persist at this level, this energy, blah blah blah blah'.

"But I was very confident. The first thing was to be safe because that was the target of my chairman. Then after that I said, 'Hey, why not? Let's try, let's try'.

"If we do something good, it is for us, for history, for our fans, for our chairman, for everyone in Leicester."
