Leicester City boss Claude Puel is delighted with their swoop for AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Puel confirmed Tielemans has been a player he has been tracking since the start of his career in Belgium.

“I knew him before when he started with Anderlecht and he was a young player," said Puel.

“He gave his best in different situations, he scored a lot of goals for a midfielder.

“I hope he can give us this opportunity to bring something different in some games.

“He's a young player with a lot of maturity. An intelligent player. It will be interesting for him. He needs to have some adaptation but I'm confident about him until the end of the season."
