Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his attacking plan didn't work in the FA Cup defeat against Tottenham on Wednesday night.
The Foxes were knocked out of the cup after they suffered a 2-0 defeat in the third round replay at King Power Stadium and Ranieri says his plan to go on the attack in the second half when the score was 1-0 did not succeed.
Ranieri told Foxes Player HD: "In the first half I said let's maintain the result and in the second half we'd try to win the match. I put a second striker (Shinji Okazaki) on but it didn't work, so well done to Tottenham.
"We tried to push but of course when they go on the counter attack they have fantastic quality and they can do everything with the ball.
"They had a lot of players who don't play normally and still had a lot of quality."
