Leicester ace Vardy to dodge FA action after Mustafi clash

Leicester City ace Jamie Vardy is expected to avoid retrospective action for his clash with Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta believed Vardy should not have been on the pitch to score Leicester's 84th-minute equaliser in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium after the first-half incident in which the tumbling Vardy's boot made contact with Mustafi's head.

Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah was sent off in the second half for a challenge on Foxes defender James Justin after referee Chris Kavanagh checked replays on the pitch-side monitor, leading Arteta to suggest Vardy deserved similar punishment.

But the Daily Mail says the Premier League's top scorer is unlikely to face further scrutiny for the Mustafi tangle, meaning he would be clear to face Bournemouth on Sunday as Leicester look to build on their point against the Gunners.
