Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is delighted to be back in the England squad.
Drinkwater failed to make the cut for Roy Hodgson's final squad for France.
Drinkwater said: “It turned out this summer was the longest I have had. It was a bit last minute, but we had a good time.
“I went all over - Ibiza, Portugal, Vegas, LA, then back to Ibiza. I didn't complain about my summer.
“I watched England in pubs with my mates mainly. I just enjoyed it like a fan.
“For the Wales game I was coming off the golf course in Portugal and because I had had a few pints I didn't realise the time difference.
“So after we finished on the golf course we had to go straight to the clubhouse to watch the game.
“The Iceland match was tough to watch as I'd love to have been involved just to see if I could have made a difference."
