LaLiga minows Leganes have held signing talks with former Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Todomercado says Leganes met with Adebayor's agents in recent days about bringing the former Real Madrid striker back to Spain.

Leganes made a contract offer to the Togo international, but it fell short of what he was seeking.

Adebayor, who also held talks with Lyon before being rejected, now remains a free agent.

The veteran is desperate to find a club as he wants to play in next year's African Cup of Nations.
