Leeds United are wrapping up a deal for Spanish teen Mateo Joseph.
Joseph, an 18-year-old striker at Espanyol in La Liga, has been linked with the Whites in Spain for months with some reports confirming a done deal as far back as November.
With the transfer window now open, United are hopeful of getting through the final stages of the deal in the near future.
Sky Sports reported Joseph was being put through a medical on Tuesday ahead of a transfer which would see the forward link up with the under-23s under Mark Jackson.
Joseph's current contract expires in the summer and he made it clear he had no intention of signing new terms, which opened the door for Leeds to swoop.
