Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell is being linked with a loan move to Wigan Athletic.
Latics boss Uwe Rosler has been forced to consider an emergency replacement after Chris McCann joined broken leg victim Ben Watson on the long-term casualty list.
Asked if he will now move for 23-year-old Rodwell, who is also attracting interest from Leeds United after making just eight appearance for City this season, Rosler gave a knowing smile and replied: "I don't know, what do you say?"
