Leeds want to extend Blackburn keepers loan

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has confirmed he would like to extend Frank Fielding's loan from Blackburn. Fielding was brought in as goalkeeping cover while regular number one Shane Higgs recovered from a thigh strain.

However, Higgs suffered a recurrence of the injury in last Monday's 2-1 win over Norwich, leaving Grayson with a fresh goalkeeping dilemma.

"We'll have to speak to Blackburn and see what Frank wants to do as well. It's something we'll look into once his loan finishes," said Grayson.

"It's really difficult when you're getting a goalkeeper in and can't guarantee that he's going to be playing.

"There aren't many around who'll come and do that but he's fitted in well. Ultimately it's a case of will he want to do it again next month?"
