Leeds United's social media team could not resist taking a swipe at Premier League opponents Liverpool on Monday.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road, but the game was overshadowed by the proposed European Super League news.

Liverpool are among the six English teams threatening to break away from the present structure of European football to set up their own league.

Leeds players wore "earn it" t-shirts during the pre-match warmup, while the social media team got on the act as well.

The Whites official account tweeted at the start of the game: "We're underway against the Merseyside Reds at Elland Road!"
