Leeds United boss Steve Evans has dismissed the rumours linking club captain Sol Bamba with a winter move to Newcastle United or Sunderland.
The Daily Star has claimed that the Premier League duo are interested in signing the 31-year-old defender as he is free to leave Elland Road.
But Evans insisted that the Ivory Coast defender is a part of his plans in West Yorkshire.
"Sol's a solid member of our squad, he's our captain and he does that job with real professionalism," Evans told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I'm not aware of any bids for Sol in this window but I can't stop speculation."
