Leeds target Cavani prepared to drop wage demands for Benfica switch

Leeds United are unlikely to have a chance at signing Edinson Cavani this summer.

The newly promoted team were hoping to lure the Uruguayan star to the Premier League.

As Cavani is leaving PSG, the club hoped working for Marcelo Bielsa may appeal to the 33-year-old.

But A Bola claims Cavani is going to lower his wage demands to roughly €9 million a year to conclude a deal to play for Benfica.

Cavani had initially wanted over double that amount.
