Leeds strker Ryan Edmondson leaving Fleetwood

Leeds United strker Ryan Edmondson is set to leave loan club Fleetwood Town.

The 20-year-old joined the League One outfit on a season-long loan deal back in June but has struggled for game time, finding himself limited to just four league starts.

In a total of 11 appearances in the third tier, Edmondson failed to score once and judging by his post, he may not have an opportunity to break his duck.

The caption on Edmondson's post reads: "Been an absolute pleasure to be part of this club. I wish you all the best in 2022. Up the Cods."

Although the message certainly reads like a goodbye, there has been no official confirmation from either Leeds or Fleetwood about his loan stay being cut short.
