Leeds striker Bamford: Summerville too good for U21 football

Leeds striker Patrick Bamford says Crysencio Summerville is too good for U21 football.

Bamford believes the future is bright for Leeds United after the U21s ran rampant against Southampton on Friday night to record a 6-2 win at Elland Road.

"I think that, obviously Cry [Crysencio Summerville]... sometimes it's too easy for him," said Bamford.

"I know it sounds silly but he's a really good player and we're seeing that in training all the time. I think that the next step for him is showing that in the first team when he gets on on a Saturday.

"Then obviously you've got the other young players, Darko [Gyabi], Willy [Gnonto] who's new, who did really well and Sonny [Perkins] as well who is a good player and pulled off a great finish.

"The future looks promising but then there's also the learning side of it as well because there's no way we should have conceded two at the end. There's a learning curve and I'm sure they'll have taken a lot away from tonight."
