Leeds star Phillips defends Casilla after Brentford howler

Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips has defended goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.

The Spanish star made another mistake in the Championship as he gifted a goal to Brentford.

Casilla could not control a basic back pass from Liam Cooper, which led to Said Benrahma scoring.

But Phillips defended the under fire shot stopper.

"It was a mistake, but we don't get on his back about it," said the midfielder to reporters.

"We are Leeds United and we get behind our players and that's what we did as soon as he made the mistake.

"We showed him confidence in the changing room at half-time. We told him it doesn't matter and to forget about it.

"Hopefully he doesn't make any more like that."
