Leeds United are closing in on the signature of Espanyol youngster Mateo Joseph Fernandez.

The 17-year-old, who is turning 18 later this month, is the subject of interest from several European clubs.

However, LaGrada claims that Leeds are the club who are closest to securing his signature.

Leeds have a total agreement with the player and his entourage, but nothing is agreed with Espanyol.
