Leeds pull back from plans for Everton, Southampton target Gyokeres

Leeds United are ;pulling back from plans to sign Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.

CoventryLive says Georginio Rutter has penned a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Whites for a fee in the region of an initial £25 million, with add-ons expected to increase the deal to £35 million.

The Whites have been keen to sign Gyokeres but the signing of Rutter is set to end their interest in the Swedish forward.

Gyokeres has attracted a number of other Premier League clubs, including Everton, Brentford, Southampton, Fulham and Wolves.

However, Mark Robins has consistently warned that Gyokeres is not for sale, while new owner Doug King has vowed not to be 'sellers' during the January transfer window.
