Leeds United are preparing an improved offer for RB Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson.
The Daily Mail says the 21-year old is keen to move to the Premier League and work with Marcelo Bielsa but his club are understood to be reluctant to sell him in this window and have rejected Leeds' initial bid of just over £15m.
Aaronson has only been with Salzburg for a year but his high energy performances for club and country have alerted scouts across Europe.
Leeds were initially considering spending a limited amount this window and had flirted with the prospect of loans but, with injuries mounting, they made Aaronson their number one target for this month as he ticked the boxes on their ideal profile.
His high intensity running statistics are among the best in Europe and Celtic made an approach for him last year.
