Leeds United have opened talks with Sampdoria for Mikkel Damsgaard.
La Repubblica says the Whites have 'tested the waters' as they look to sign the 20-year-old in the summer.
However, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Southampton have all been credited with an interest for Damsgaard, which could prove to be serious competition for his signature.
The report states that the Serie A club would accept an offer in the region of €20million (£17.5m) to let the attacker leave.
