Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips sets date on return

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips hopes to be back in action in just over four weeks.

Phillips is targeting March as the month of his return to the Leeds United squad as he continues his recovery from hamstring surgery.

The England midfielder has been out of action since the 2-2 draw against Brentford at the beginning of December where he sustained the worst injury of his career so far.

The 25-year-old revealed in an interview with Sky Sports that he is on course to return in March.

“[The surgery] all went well," Phillips admitted. “They said that I'm on track as well so that's a good thing to hear.

“I felt there was something wrong, I've never had a hamstring injury before so I didn't know exactly what it was. I tried again for I think 30 seconds and I knew that it wasn't right to carry on playing."
