Leeds manager Bielsa hails Brighton midfielder Bissouma as 'great player'

Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is attracting praise from Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Bissouma is in demand as the summer transfer window approaches, with reports linking him to clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Now in his third season with Brighton, the 24-year-old central midfielder is showing his quality in the Premier League.

Bielsa briefly managed Bissouma when they were at Lille in 2017, and admires the player.

Speaking during a pre-match press conference ahead of Leeds' Premier League game against Brighton on Saturday, Bielsa said: "He was a great player and he has confirmed it.

"It's not the same to have potential and to show it.

"When I had the opportunity to work with him he was a player who had a lot of resources and here he has shown them completely.

"Not because I say it, but he has managed to gain recognition from the Premier League due to the resources that he has."
