Leeds keeper Schmeichel attracting Leicester interest

Leeds United goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has emerged as a strong transfer target for Leicester City it has been reported.

The 24-year old Dane is the subject of a potential £1million offer from the Foxes, whose manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, knows the player from his Manchester City days.

Schmeichel has a year to run on his Leeds contract and the club may decide to sell him now for a profit.

Leicester are looking at promotion next season and Eriksson is going about building a strong squad and would like the son of former Manchester United star Peter to join him at Walkers Stadium.
