Leeds United have been buoyed by the fact the injury to striker Luciano Becchio is not a broken ankle.
But the club is unsure of when the Argentinean will be back in action after being helped from the field during the 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic at Elland Road last weekend.
"We have had the X-rays and there is no break in there. I don't know where that suggestion came from," Leeds boss Simon Grayson said.
"Luciano is having treatment and we will see how he goes. I am not one for setting timescales on players nor do I like talking about injured players and setting targets. We will see how he progresses."
