Leeds, Forest chasing Newcastle outcast Best

Newcastle United are seeking buyers for striker Leon Best.

The Sunday Sun says Best has failed to make an impact in his 12 months at St James' Park and Toon are willing to listen to offers of around £500,000 for the Ireland international.

Leeds United, Burnley and Nottingham Forest are all interested in the forward and manager Alan Pardew is in favour of a quick sale to bolster his limited transfer fund.

Best is now effectively fifth choice in the striker's pecking order.
